Requirements of enrolling in Brand Registry

The requirements will differ by the country, but everyone needs to have:

  • Active and registered trademark in the country that comes on your packaging or product.
  • An ability to verify as rights owner, through public contact listed over the trademark registration.
  • Amazon account (Seller Central and Vendor Central).

Trademark should be text-based mark and image-based mark, which has text. The purely graphical mark such as famous Nike “Swoosh” won’t be accepted.

Checking Your Brand Registry Status

When submitted, it will take Amazon around 14 days to finally review your application & reach out through Case Log in the Seller Central with final decision. Case Log will be found in a corner of the Seller Central dashboard.

Suppose all criteria in your application are perfectly met, Amazon then will reach out to public contact listed over the website for an agency used to register a brand trademark. The public contact is generally a law group that is used for the registration. Amazon may provide the contact with verification code that should be obtained by brand owner & relayed back in 30 days.
